The first Royal Air Force (RAF) pilots
There has always been a keen interest in people on military pilots. So I thought writing this article on the formation of the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the first pilots of the RAF.
The desire to fly like a bird goes back several centuries and is reflected in the many myths of dragons and flying horses such as Pegasus. There was always magic in the very idea of flight and that magic is bound how all the men and women to watch the sky, especially when the stars are there, and wonder.
RAF experience Pilots who asks me every time they sit in their aircraft, upgrade, and start to take - the runoff.
So how Has it begun?
The first known form of Military Air Power has been in China since 200 BC, when General Han Hsin used a kite man to calculate the distance between his army and the forces that oppose. Chinese forces used kites to pass signals and may have used them as suicide bombers carriers. The Explorer Marco Polo in the 14th century Cathay said Seafarers connect people do not want large wings attached. If they have stolen and she said a successful trip. The man carrying kites were also used in Japan in the 19th century.
In Europe, the bomb charge kites appear in sketches about 1326 AD. The dream of flight began to have practical implementation with the advent of ballooning in France where she developed as a sport and entertainment.
We need to make a jump to 1909.
Flight was slow to start in England being limited to a few individuals with little government support. That changed when Louis Bleriot flew his monoplane across the channel in July 1909. The first British driver license has been issued to Moore-Brabazon
Having won Daily Mail to fly a circular flight of a mile in his short biplane.
The army was the first to recognize the potential of aircraft for recognition and the Royal Flying Corps (RFC) has emerged. Initial plans were to form a unified air service, but the old service rivalries prevented this way that the Navy had the arm of the clean air Royal Naval Air Service (RNAS). Throughout the First World War (1914-1918), both services operate separately. On 1 April 1918, both services have been attached to the Royal Air Force (RAF) so the pilot of the RAF was born.
In the early days of the RAF pilot had to deal with antiquated aircraft and changing administration. The government lacks enthusiasm for the power air, but has appointed General Sir Hugh Trenchard as Chief of Staff of the air. He set very high standards for RAF pilots who continue to date, however, he resigned shortly thereafter. Sir Hugh Trenchard was reappointed as a result of Churchill and continued to be called the father of the Royal Air Force. The formation of a RAF pilot like no other.
